° Bendir: This frame drum, prevalent in North African and Middle Eastern music, dates back centuries. It was traditionally used in Sufi ceremonies and is renowned for its deep, spiritual resonance.

° Darbukas (Low and High): Originating from the Middle East, these goblet-shaped drums have been central to Arabic music since at least the 10th century.

° Nakers (Kudüm) and Kettle Drums (Kös): Nakers, medieval European ancestors of the timpani, were introduced to Europe in the Middle Ages, likely from the Islamic world. Kettle drums, similar in design, have been a part of Ottoman military bands and classical music.

° Bass Drum (Davul): The davul, a large double-headed drum, has been a staple in Middle Eastern music for centuries. It is often used in folk music and traditional celebrations, noted for its deep, commanding sound.

° Tambourine (Tef) and Turkish Crescent (Çevgen): The tambourine has ancient origins, appearing in various cultures throughout history. The Turkish crescent, a unique ceremonial instrument adorned with bells, has its roots in the Ottoman military bands and symbolizes the fusion of music and pageantry.

° Cymbals: Cymbals, with their origins dating back to ancient times, have been a part of many musical traditions worldwide. In Middle Eastern music, they add a bright and sharp contrast, complementing the deeper sounds of the drum ensemble.

° Three Wooden Spoons: Although less conventional, wooden spoons have been used as percussion instruments in various cultures, including Turkish and Greek folk music, adding a distinctive clacking rhythm.
