The Difference

Static EQ cuts everywhere.
Tamer only cuts when it matters.

Resonances detected in real time, suppressed the moment they appear. When they stop, Tamer lets go.

01
Vocals
The note that's clean in one phrase and honks in the next. Tamer only engages at the exact moment the problem appears.
02
Instruments
Guitars, pianos, strings — resonant peaks reduced only when prominent. Attack and decay stay intact.
03
Mix Bus
Intervenes only when specific regions push too far. Tonal balance stays intact across the whole arrangement.
04
Drums
Shell rings, tom sustain, overhead glare — addressed without touching transients. Punch stays fully intact.
05
Rooms & Mics
Keep the warmth. Address the peaks that cause fatigue. Boxiness and ring removed without dulling the source.
06
Mastering
Slow, transparent dynamic control. No permanent reshaping of the master's tonal balance.
Controls

Simple to start.
Precise when you need it.

FOCUS
From natural to surgical
High Focus targets prominent peaks only. Low Focus catches a wider range of subtler resonances.
Default: 72
SPREAD
Width of each cut
Low: narrow surgical notches. Higher: wider, smoother reductions that blend into the surrounding spectrum.
ATTACK
How fast Tamer responds
1–10 ms for sustained tonal material. 20–80 ms lets transient energy pass first — more natural on percussive sources.
Default: 10 ms
RELEASE
How fast Tamer lets go
Short for fast-changing material. Longer smooths the envelope on pads, reverb tails, and sustained instruments.
Default: 30 ms
LO / HI LIMIT
Define the boundary
Drag the handles directly on the spectrum display. Everything outside the limits is completely untouched.
Mid-Side Processing

Target exactly
where the problem lives.

A boxy vocal is in the center. A ringing reverb is in the width. Tamer lets you target precisely where the problem is and leave everything else alone.

ST
Stereo — Standard processing. The default starting point.
M
Mid — Center only. Width passes through completely untouched.
S
Side — Width only. Center image passes through completely untouched.
M+S
Mid+Side — Two independent engines. Blue for mid, rose for side — both visible on the display simultaneously.
Tamer M+S mode

M+S MODE — INDEPENDENT MID AND SIDE ENGINES

Capabilities

High-resolution detection.
Every tool you need.

— DETECT
Catches What Others Miss
Thousands of frequency points analyzed continuously. Narrow resonances found precisely — neighboring frequencies left completely untouched.
— Δ DELTA
Hear Exactly What's Removed
Press Δ and hear only what Tamer is taking away. Narrow resonant tones, not music. Confirm settings by ear before committing.
— TRP
Transient Protection
Sharp attacks pass through completely untouched. Transients keep their punch. Resonances get controlled. Both at once.
— DISPLAY
See It as It Happens
Live spectrum with suppression overlay. Glowing orbs mark active peaks. Drag the limit lines directly on the display.
— ECO / HIGH
Two Quality Modes
ECO for multi-instance sessions. HIGH for maximum precision on mix bus and mastering. Both report latency correctly for delay compensation.
— 45 PRESETS
Named After the Problem
Pick by symptom. Production-ready starting points across Vocals, Mix, Drums, Instruments, and Signature categories.

Built For

Every source. Every stage.

Mixing Engineers
Control problem frequencies without compromising the source.
Vocal Producers
Pitch-dependent resonances static EQ can never cleanly address.
Mastering Engineers
Transparent dynamic control without altering tonal balance.
Tracking & Production
Real instruments in real rooms, where resonances are part of the recording.
Post Production
Dialogue, foley, location sound — room modes controlled without affecting the voice.
Any Source
If it moves, varies with dynamics, or only appears on certain notes — Tamer finds it.
User Reviews

Smooth, transparent,
fast to dial in.

— RICHARD KINCADE
Fastest and most intuitive
“Tamer is by far the fastest and most intuitive for identifying and reducing harsh resonances.”
— GLYN R BROWN
Perfect after 10 minutes
“Played around with the trial version. After 10 mins, I bought it… Perfect.”
— ANA KNIGHT
Easy and transparent
“Excellent. Easy to use, great sound, and impressively transparent.”
— RADDLER
More natural than alternatives
“I’m actually quite impressed. Sounds more natural than Soothe to me, especially on hats/cymbals...”
— SATYATUNES
Fast to dial in
“I love TAMER. It’s very fast to dial in the amount of suppression. Also, delta button is very helpful.”
— AXEAST
Great mid-side control
“The mid-side modes do a great job cleaning all sorts of sounds. Being able to address the center and width independently is exactly the kind of surgical control I’ve been missing.”

Common Questions

How is Tamer different from a dynamic EQ?
Dynamic EQs require you to identify and place bands manually. Tamer analyzes the full spectrum at extremely high resolution and responds to resonances wherever they appear — automatically, without band management.
Where do I start?
Pick a preset, play audio, raise AMOUNT until the problem settles. Press Δ to confirm you're removing resonances, not music. Everything else is refinement.
When should I use TRP?
Leave it on for anything with transients — drums, piano, plucked strings. Turn it off for pure sustain sources like pads or reverb tails.
Is there a free demo?
Yes — a free 15-day demo is available. Download the demo here.
Where's the manual?
How does activation work?
One-time online activation. Works fully offline after that. Up to 3 computers per license.
